I enjoyed this album (although as per usual, not the solos). It was consistent and just some no fuss, good Arashi fun! "Welcome to our party!!!" (Plus best cover art ever) The contents is, as always, more than decent - 16 tracks including four singles. :) Fav new songs are Waiting for you and Cosmos - totally dancing to them!

This album was LONG OVERDUE by like a year or two. SEVEN singles are in this album, making a total of ELEVEN previously released tracks. Unfortunately I still think most of these groups' Korean songs sound lyrically painful in Japanese - SHINee's stuff especially really doesn't translate nicely. ^^;; SHINee had seven Japanese remakes so fewer entirely new tracks, most of them okay B-side material. 2PM have just the four Japanese remakes, but I feel like 2PM's album fell victim to ( Read more... )

More than BoA did, I was actually introduced to Miura Daichi from The Answer on DJ KAORI'S JMIX IV and was off my face over The Answer for most of the first half of this year (not a 2011 release so can't make my 2011 ranking though ^^;;). In honour of oct23ria's October 23! I'm not sure how much she actually likes SOULHEAD even though her fav jpop song ever is SPARKLE☆TRAIN. Initially they reminded me a bit of Shyne but not that much after a few songs. AAA's second compilation album includes a selection of tracks from the last 3.5 years since their 18th single, BEYOND~Karada no Kanata. I was watching their concert the other day and I just love the energy during the energy of their songs. I associate a kind of "DDR-j-eurobeat-dance" genre to them and I definitely think their best songs are in that ( Read more... )
